Kirkham Prison

ISG were appointed by the Ministry of Justice (MoJ) to upgrade various facilities within this men’sopen prison in the village of Kirkham.  Having completed a new workshop facility, QED were appointed to undertake new Hanger works and a new Gym facility, future planned works include a timber store building and the upgrading of the existing water mains throughout the prison complex.

QED have demolished the existing timber stores facility including the gantry air extraction system, we have recently completed the foundation and drainage to a new Gym facility and are currently casting floor slabs to the ground and first floor.  Future works are planned for a new Timber store building and the install of circa 4.5 miles of new fire/water main which will run into the middle of 2024.  There are also plans to construct a new warehousing facility on the complex for inmates training.
