Health and Safety

At QED we believe health & safety and the values associated with it to be the main consideration of any modern, forward thinking organisation and the welfare of employees and members of the public alike taking precedence over all else.

In order to achieve this we strive to give all our employees the best possible training and back up possible. To this end all employees have achieved the required CSCS / CPCS accreditation commensurate with their on site activities and responsibilities.

We also place great emphasis on continuing development and training with most employees currently enrolled on either NVQ level 2 or 3 courses with Preston College.

In order to ensure that standards are maintained, sites receive regular visits from our independent health & safety advisors, ATG Ltd.

Environment

QED is also committed to the protection and enhancement of the natural environment. It is a key objective of the company to continually strive for improvement in our environmental performance of activities, products and services. QED complies strictly with environmental legislation and other environmental requirements and adheres to the following environmental standards within its operations:

• Continually strive for improvement in the environmental performance of our activities, products and services.
• Proactively pursue the minimisation of environmental impacts associated with our activities, products and services.
• Endeavour to eliminate the production of polluting emissions or discharges into the environment.
• Take positive measures to protect and preserve wildlife / flora and their natural habitats.
• Set objectives, targets and programmes and review and revise them regularly with the aim of continual improvement in environmental performance.
